- The NCSC Sample Item Overview presentation was developed to present the NCSC Alternate Assessment Design and demonstrate its application using sample alternate assessment items. The sample items are the result of using the Core Content Connectors and Graduated Understandings to guide item development. The item types used in the NCSC Alternate Assessment are discussed, as well as characteristics of the items.
