[edit] Completing the Communication Tool Kit Course for ASHA Credit

The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) recently approved the NCSC Tool Kit for Continuing Education Units (CEUS) for speech language pathologists. Now through December of 2018, Speech Language Pathologists can earn up to 3 hours of CEU credit for completing the course and the final quiz. The course is administered at no charge by the University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences in collaboration with University of Kentucky Human Development Institute. In order to access the course for CEU Credit, participants should sign up via the HDI Online Learning Center and complete the course as normal. The request for CEU Credit will be in the final survey for the course. In order to receive credit, you will need to provide your name and your ASHA membership number. Please also indicate on the form whether or not you use the ASHA CE registry.

School personnel, other than Speech Language Pathologists, may also complete the Communication Tool Kit course in this learning management system and receive a certificate documenting the number of hours of participation. It is important to note however, that approval for CEUS by agencies other than ASHA is the responsibility of the user and at the discretion of the agency.

To aid with accessibility, a PDF version of each module which includes the narrated text is available in the link below the module title under "Communication Modules pdfs" below. In addition, the notes pane in presenter will display the narration in text.
