The American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) recently approved the NCSC Tool Kit for Continuing Education Units (CEUS) for speech language pathologists.  Now through December of 2018, Speech Language Pathologists can earn up to 3 hours of CEU credit for completing the course and the final quiz.  The course is administered at no charge by the University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences in collaboration with University of Kentucky Human Development Institute.  In order to access the course for CEU Credit, participants should follow the link: [https://uky.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9ZFdwsOgrwxRwI5  Communication Tool Kit Registration  <span class="plainlinks"></span>] to register for the course.  In order to receive credit, you will need to provide your name and your ASHA membership number. Please also indicate on the form whether or not you use the ASHA CE registry.

School personnel, other than Speech Language Pathologists, may also complete the Communication Tool Kit course in this learning management system and receive a certificate documenting the number of hours of participation. It is important to note however, that approval for CEUS by agencies other than ASHA is the responsibility of the user and at the discretion of the agency.

Completing the Communication Tool Kit Course for ASHA Credit

Now through December of 2018, Speech Language Pathologists can earn up to 3 hours of CEU credit for completing the course and the final quiz. Communication is the third course in the NCSC Professional Development Module series. This course consists of eight modules. To aid with accessibility a pdf version of each module is available. In addition, the notes pane in presenter will display the narration in text.
