Lesson 1 of the Elementary Measurement UDL Instructional Unit focuses on understanding what a unit of measurement is, why it is important to use a unit of measurement that is standardized, and how to choose an appropriate unit of measurement for a task. Students will learn to choose the tool needed to measure various lengths measured in inches and feet and will practice measurement. In addition, students will learn why measurement is important.
